PLEASE NOTE: GAS PRICES-
Our pontoon rental boat pricing was set on January of 2022. We include a full tank of gas for free. However, due to the current political climate and what's happening in Ukraine, it's expected gas prices to increase. If gas prices go up, we will charge a gas surcharge at the end of the day based on the difference in gas prices that day as compared to the prices of gas on January of 2022.
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
The United States Coast Guard requires pontoon drivers to be born on or before January of 1988.
Exceptions are the following:
1. If you are born born after January of 1988 and 30 years old or older you must have a boating license / certificate. THe boating certificate course can be found at www.boat-ed.com. 30a Pontoon Rental must see a copy of the certificate of completion 24 hours before renting the boat.
2. Guest under 30 must hire a captain / designated master. We will provide a designated mater list of Captains / Designated Masters to choose from before renting.
WHAT IS THE CANCELATION POLICY?
Lake Martin Pontoon Rental offers a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you have a death or illness in the family or with a friend, we encourage renters to get travel insurance. We make no exceptions.
WEATHER POLICY
WEATHER - Lake Martin Pontoon Rental strives to give our clients the best experience possible on the water. However, lake weather is notorious for unexpected weather and things can change quickly and dramatically. In many cases weather can change in 30-60 minutes and sometimes without notice. Lake Martin Pontoon Rental does our absolute best to inform you of developing weather patterns. However, there is no way to know what's really going to happen until 30 minutes to an hour before. It's challenging because the weather channels are not always accurate. The only time we cancel and give full refunds is if The United States Coast Guard issues a SMALL CRAFT advisory. If there is significant inclement weather in your area (storms with high winds, lightning etc.) that develop during your event (pontoon rental) and we call you back to the dock canceling or cutting short your outing, you will be provided a partial credit. Lake Martin does not cancel or offer refunds for rain showers that develop while on the water. If you choose to go out and it rains, you have accepted that risk. Lake Martin Pontoon Rental does not cancel do to cold weather. If the weather turns cold, it's your choice to cancel, but you will not receive a refund. We also DO NOT cancel the day before due to the rapidly changing weather patterns.
SICKNESS OR DEATH- We do not cancel and refund for sickness, death or injury. This includes COVID- We encourage travel insurance.
RENTERS INSURANCE - WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE RENTERS INSURANCE- Due to the nature of the weather in our area, we strongly encourage our renters to get RENTAL INSURANCE for these situations.

A typical pontoon rental is 4 hours. Lake Martin offers 4, 6 and 9 hour rentals. With This gives guests plenty time on the water
What are some fun activities on a Pontoon Rental?
The lake is full of fun activities for all ages. So many fun site to see at Lake Martin. Beautiful homes, gorgeous scenery, fun Marinas, beautiful wildlife, etc. So just touring Lake Martin is fabulous. Lake Martin Pontoon Rental also allows guests to tube behind our fast 150 and 200 hp boats. In addition, our double decker pontoon rental with water slide is a must. Drop anchor and enjoy sliding down the slide.
DOES ANYTHING COME WITH THE BOAT?
We realize some guests just want a boat rental experience, but we also offer floating pads, yolo boards, coolers, Karaoke Machines, bluetooth stereos, etc.

PADDLE BOARDS (YOLO BOARDS)-
Our 11 foot paddle boards are a great way to enjoy Crab Island. You can paddle around on top of the water and see fish and wildlife underneath.
18 X 6 FLOATING PAD-
A favorite of our pontoon rental guests is our 18 X 6 floating pad. These pads can hold up to 10 people comfortably.
TUBES or HOT DOGS-
Want to enjoy some fun? Why not go tubing on our two person tubes or hot dogs.
COOLERS-
Many of our pontoon rental guests don’t have a cooler. We offer large coolers to keep your goods cold, or in some cases, keep your supplies dry.
WHAT EXACTLY IS A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?
A pontoon rental boat is a fabulous way to enjoy the water. A pontoon rental boat is a boat built with a flat deck and cushioned seats. It's surrounded by aluminum walls with doors in 3-4 locations. Most pontoon rental boats in the Destin area are 23 foot, 50 hp pontoon rentals. 30a Pontoon Rental offers 28 foot, 150 and 200 hp pontoon rentals. Actually, Lake Martin Pontoon Rental offers tritoons. A tritoon pontoon rental is smoother, faster and gives guests a more comfortable boating experience.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT IN LAKE MARTIN?
Our boats are the largest pontoon rental boats in the panhandle. However, the United States Coast Guard allows us to have 12 guests or 12 guests plus a captain. This is a National Coast Guard rule.
A typical pontoon rental boat is 23 foot, 50 hp pontoon. These are comfortable for 8-10 people. Ours are 28 foot, 12 passenger pontoons. The extra 5 feet give our guests plenty of room for relaxing and having fun.
HOW FAST ARE PONTOON RENTAL BOATS?
A typical pontoon rental boat at Lake Martin is 50-60 hp pontoon. Lake Martin Pontoon Rental offers 150 and 200 hp tritoons. A tritoon is actually faster and smoother than a pontoon. Plus, we offer the extra 100 or 150 hp. This allows you to go 2-3 times faster than a typical pontoon rental. A typical pontoon rental boat will go 10-13 mph. Our pontoon rental boats go 25-32 mph. This gives our pontoon rental guests plenty of speed to cruise through the bay. Plus, you get 6 and 9 hours instead of 4 and 8. Keep in mind, boat speed is based on wind conditions, current, and weight of boat. The smaller the party, the faster the boat will go.
HOW FAR IS LAKE MARTIN PONTOON RENTAL FROM Alexander City, Dadeville, Eclectic, Jacksons Gap, and Equality COMMUNITIES?
It takes about 10-20 minutes average to get to our location from most of these locations. The advantage is that with Lake Martin Pontoon Rental you will be on a boat that goes 2-3 times faster than other boats. This allows you to see more and do more. So, the 10-20 minute extra drive you will make up in speed on the boat.

Instead of driving all the way to Destin or Crab Island, 30a Pontoon rental is located just minutes from Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Inlet Beach, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Sandestin, Miramar Beach, Seacrest, Seagrove, etc.
Renting a pontoon rental boat while on vacation is a favorite for 30a vacationers. The Choctowhatchee bay is a fabulous waterway filled with all types of restaurants, beautiful bayou’s, the Famous Crab Island, and so much more. A pontoon rental boat is the ultimate way to explore these beautiful and fun venues.
Why a 150 hp Pontoon Rental Boat?-
A typical fishing boat, or ski boat is fun, but not enough space for a large party. Pontoon rental boats allow up to 12 guest to enjoy a day together on the bay. Most pontoon rental boats are 40-60 hp. Our pontoon rental boats are 150 hp tritoons. A tritoon is more buoyant than a pontoon and the extra horsepower will get you where you need to go on the bay 2-3 times faster than the typical pontoon rental. A more buoyant pontoon rental boat also makes for a smoother and faster trip.
How Big is the Bay?
The bay in Santa Rosa Beach extends from the 331 Bridge to Crab Island in Destin. While you are on our pontoon rental boats you can visit many of the beautiful bayous with exquisite homes in Santa Rosa Beach, Miramar Beach, Sandestin, and Destin.
What is there to do?
While on our pontoon rental boats enjoy incredible restaurants right on the water including the famous Dewey Destin’s, and everyone’s favorite, LULU’s restaurant. Lulu’s Restaurant is owned by Jimmy Buffett’s sister. Lulu’s offers indoor and outdoor dining, a fun beach with activities for kids, and an outdoor bar right on the water. All you have to do is pull your pontoon rental boat up, anchor securely and walk up to the beach.
Can we shop somewhere on the bay?
Want to do some shopping while on our pontoon rental boats? There are two places to shop and dine while on our pontoon rentals. Just minutes from our pontoon rental dock is the Sandestin community and the popular Baytown Warf. Baytown Warf has tons of great shopping, a zip line, a climbing wall, great restaurants, etc. That’s not all. While out on our pontoon rental boats you can visit the famous Destin Harbor. Destin Harbor is packed with great restaurants, shopping, a climbing wall, art gallaries, etc. The Destin Harbor is only ¼ mile boat ride from Crab Island. Restaurants include AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar, Harry T’s, Dewey Destin’s, Marina Café, Boathouse Oyster Bar, Gilligan’s, etc.
What is Crab Island?
Most of our pontoon rental guest enjoy the fabulous and famous Crab Island. Crab Island is a sand bar about 2-3 feet deep with crystal clear blue water. Pontoon Rental boats drop anchor at Crab Island and play for the day. While at Crab Island you can slide down our Double Decker Pontoon Rental boat with slide, float around on our 18 X 6 floating pad, or paddle around on our 11 foot yolo boards.

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO RENT A PONTOON BOAT?

Even with a boating certificate we require a minimum of 30 years. The only exceptions are those who hire a captain or designated master.
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO RENT A CAR?
30a Rental Company requires all guests to be a minimum of 30 years old and with a valid US drivers license to rent a car. Our insurance is very strict. If caught allowing someone younger to drive, we charge a $1000 fine.

Don’t want to drive our pontoon rental boats. We can provide you with a driver for an extra fee.

However, it's challenging because the weather channels are not always accurate. If, at the beginning of the day, we see most of your day forecasted to be inclement weather (storms with high winds, lightning, etc) we may cancel your reservation. However, we do not cancel until 11:00 the day of your pontoon rental due to the dramatic changes in weather. In the event, 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR do cancel, the customer may then choose between a refund or a credit. If there is significant inclement weather in your area (storms with high winds, lightning etc.) that develop during your event and we call you back to the dock canceling or cutting short your outing, you will be provided a partial credit. 30a Pontoon Rental /SRBPR does not cancel or offer refunds for rain showers that develop while on the water. If you choose to go out and it rains, you have accepted that risk.
RENTERS INSURANCE - There are times when the weather forecast is not accurate and winds change or rains increase unexpectedly. In these circumstances, 30 Pontoon Rental does not refund any money. This becomes the risk of the customer. We encourage our renters to get RENTAL INSURANCE for these situations.
BACHELORETTE PARTY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. CAN WE HAVE MORE THAN 12 PEOPLE ON A PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?
U.S. Coastguard only allows 12 people max on a boat. This includes captain. About 1/3rd of our bachelorette parties rent two boats.
2. CAN WE BRING FOOD AND ALCOHOL FOR OUR BACHELORETTE PARTY?
Yes, you can bring food and alcohol on the boat. You can bring your own coolers or we offer80-100 quart cooler rentals.
3. HOW BIG IS THE VAN TRANSPORTATION
The van allows for 13 guests and some gear.
4. IS THERE ANY PLACE TO GO EAT WHILE ON THE PONTOON RENTAL BOAT?
There are a couple places guests go eat. Lulu's in Destin is owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister LuLu. It's a great atmosphere with good food. You can pull the boat up and drop anchor out in the water. Lulu's has a bar on the beach outside as well.
DEWEY DESTIN'S at Crab Island- Just 1/2 mile east of Crab Island on the water is the famous Dewey Destin's. Fabulous food an incredible DIVE type atmosphere. Must have captain or very experienced driver to pull up at their dock.
5. DO WE PAY FOR OUR PONTOON RENTAL EXPERIENCE WHEN WE BOOK OR WHEN WE COME?
30a Rental Company charges the full amount up front. This includes the boat(s), add on's, shuttle, etc. HOWEVER, you pay the Captain the day of the event. Most captain's charge before the rental.
6. WHAT IS CUSTOMARY TIPS FOR OUR PONTOON RENTAL EXPEREINCE?
Captain- $75.00-$125
Deckhands- $35-$55
Shuttle- $20-$35
7. CAN WE DO LESS THAN a 6 HOUR PONTOON RENTAL EXPERIENCE?
Our pontoon rental boats are driven from storage and put in the water daily. They get heavy deep cleanings, motors get flushed, etc. If we rent for 4 hours we lose 6 hour rentals. We can do 4 hours, but it's same price. Plus, our captains require a minimum of 6 hours to do a day.
8. HOW SOON SHOULD WE BOOK OUR PONTOON RENTAL TRIP?
As soon as possible. We book bachelorette parties up at least 2 months in advance. However, there are times when we have available slots less than 2 months in advance. To make sure you have a spot on our pontoon rental boats, we recommend booking your pontoon rental 3 months out.
